The guest list included Cee Lo Green, Melanie Fiona, Deborah Cox, Yelawolf, Chris Bosh, Gabrielle Union, Juwan Howard, Maino, Rocsi Diaz, Teairra Mari, Timbaland and more. The party took place at Club Play.
Nas Performs At The Ricochet Lounge And Bar, Miami Beach
Nas brought his talents to the MIA while performing at the Spotify McDonald's event at Midtown’s Ricochet Lounge And Bar this past Thursday, December 1st. Belting out hits both old and new, Nas rocked the Art Basel crowd with a memorable performance. The Queens MC also tested his painting skills and whipped up a quick piece that eventually sold for $14,000, which will benefit an unnamed charity. Nicki Minaj Gets an Official Mattel Barbie Doll Made After Her For Charity
Nicki Minaj has been keeping the UrbanPartyLife.com blog busy lately. In the last few weeks, she racked up at the American Music Awards, was named Billboard's Rising Star of 2011 and looked fab while receiving her recent Grammy nominations. Now Nicki will have an official Mattel Barbie made after her, all in the name of a good cause. The exclusive Nicki Minaj Barbie doll will be available for auction on CharityBuzz.com and then put on display at the Divine Design's five-day event and gala at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. Bids for the doll will be received through December 19, 2011 and will begin at $1,000.

The 2012 Grammy Nomination counts are in. Leading the way in terms of overall numbers is Kanye West, earning seven nominations including a nod for Song of the Year with “All Of The Lights.” Not far behind (and rightfully so) is British songstress Adele with six nominations; she and Bruno Mars (also with six nominations) swept spots in all the major categories, including Song, Record and Album of the Year.

Among the events taking place this week was the unveiling of Anselm Reyle for Dior; a pop-up that will stay open for the next three weeks. The Tuesday, November 29th event took place at the Moore Building in Miami's Design District and brought out guests Pharrell Williams, Gabrielle Union, Adrienne Bosh, VV Brown, staff from W Magazine and more.

Billboard Magazine has named Nicki Minaj as their "Rising Star" of 2011. "I am deeply honored to be recognized by Billboard," Minaj said in a statement. "My nation of barbz and I have come a mighty long way; yet we are nowhere close to where God will take us. Sit back and enjoy the ride."

Akon, The New York Giants Distribute Food to Less Fortunate Families for Thanksgiving
Akon and his Konfidence Foundation headed to Atlanta's Joseph B. Whitehead Boys & Girls Club on Tuesday, November 22 to distribute turkeys to needy families. The foundation primarily focuses on serving families in West Africa but also does work for struggling families in the United States.

Jennifer Williams and Jim Jones used their star power for good yesterday, November 21 while they handed out 5000 turkeys to needy families in Harlem. The 2011 turkey drive at Ricardo’s Steak House also brought out TV personality Al Reynolds, rapper Freekey Zekey, and music mixed by DJ Ernie B.
